I've only heard the Moody Blues, but not the other two. Like you, I LOVE them. I love how they were classically trained and used their gift to make great rock music. I can't imagine how much knowledge of music and film you have rolling around in your head, dear friend.
Bleubeard and Elizabethhttps://www.blogger.com/profile/10149710375520733752noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-4141871469594180795.post-86191743259950696132021-03-10T18:56:08.906-05:002021-03-10T18:56:08.906-05:00These are really good! At some point, though, we just heard the music. #2. Brother Can You Spare A Dime, sung by Bing Crosby. #3. I like your picks, dear friend!
Yess...Hi, Birgit!

I like your picks, dear friend!

Yessum, as we have been discussing, opening themes of TV series used to be long, elaborate music video productions. This was especially true in the 70s. In the decades since, show opens have been reduced to a few seconds. I like the sparkly Bewitched theme as much as you, and I'd like to see longer opening sequences make a comeback. The best ones are fun to watch and set the tone for the program.

The "dime a dance girl" is also a relic of the distant past. Adjusting for inflation, I imagine she'd charge $500 today.

The TV themes I immediately thought of that became hits on the pop chart are the instrumentals "Hawaii Five-O," which I recently posted at Shady's Place, "Peter Gunn Theme" and "Route 66 Theme."

Like your coin song, mine is worth teh cents. It's Gene Pitney's "If I Didn't Have A Dime (To Play The Jukebox)," found on the B side of his August 1962 single "Only Love Can Break A Heart."

For my time of day song I pick "Early In The Morning," the 1982 funk hit by The Gap Band.

Have a wonderful Wednesday, dear friend BB, and I'll be seeing you "At The Movies!"Shady Del Knighthttps://www.blogger.com/profile/07887100141814372022noreply@blogger.com
