I always forget this part but better late than never!-I blame all on menopause-That is what I say and I'm sticking to it:) So Over at the
Armchair Squid-The Mock Squid Soup Film Society one gets to post 3 hints on a movie which will then be revealed the following Friday. So, here are my hints:
1. It's spooky
2. The heroine is a bit tense and strict
3. it's always foggy
I could give more clues but there ya have it. Midway in writing this, I thought of another film that so freaked me out when i first saw it that I was scared to sleep with the lights off, but maybe I will talk about that one later.
Those are some pretty vague clues ;)
ReplyDeleteYup! I decided to be vague this time:)
DeleteI'm curious about the movie that scared you enough to keep lights on while sleeping :) I'm clueless about the other one.
ReplyDeletebetty
The one that scared the heck out of me is "The Innocents" starring Deborah Kerr. I read the book also which totally creeped me out even more-"Turn of the Screw.
DeleteUmm errr The Fog? The Mist? Please say not The Fog remake as that was a huge pile of crap haha
ReplyDeleteNope no where close
DeleteI have no idea...
ReplyDeleteI know I was so vague this time because I usually give it away
DeletePlay Misty for Me. The tense woman was rather spooky. Or, the one with Adriene Barbeau.
ReplyDeleteNope neither one.
DeleteThe Shining?
ReplyDeleteGreat movie...but nope!
Delete'Midnight Lace' came to mind first. Mainly because of the fog. Then I got to wondering if there was fog in Dial M for Murder. Which led me to remember Sorry , Wrong Number. I think I've watched too many movies, lol.
ReplyDeleteHahahaaaa there is another Hitchcock film! They are all great especially Dial M but nope to all
DeleteI thought of Midnight Lace, too, but I don't think of the woman as strict (Doris Day?). Dial M for Murder and Sorry, Wrong Number seem good guesses, too.
ReplyDeleteLove,
Janie
Nope nadda to all
Deletei would need more specific clues to even hazard a guess as I don't watch many scary movies.
ReplyDeleteThink early 2000's. Famous Star
DeleteHmmm- I am not sure. What Lies Beneath? Watcher in the Woods? I am sure it will end up being something I haven't seen since I am always learning about new movies here. :)
ReplyDelete~Jess
What Lies Beneath is ok but never saw Watcher in the Woods but they are incorrect
DeleteThe only movie that came to mind was The Others. But I know that's not it. Completely clueless here.
ReplyDeleteDon't be too sure!
DeleteI think The Others is what I would have guessed, but Liz A. beat me to it. Other than that, I'm clueless and completely intrigued.
ReplyDeleteCan that be the right guess??? We shall find out next week..same Bat Time, same Bat channel
DeleteTotally jumping on the bandwagon... The Others!
ReplyDeleteYour clues don't give me a clue.
ReplyDeleteThe clues were pretty vague, but yes, "The Others" definitely fits the profile. ☺
ReplyDeleteSpooky movies always creep me out, so I tend to avoid if I want to sleep that night. I'm still recovering from Psycho!
ReplyDeleteOkay I give up. I'm a terrible guesser.
ReplyDeleteI'm going to guess Space Jam. I didn't say it was a good guess, but it still does qualify as a guess.
ReplyDeleteIs it the Nicole Kidman movie? She and her two kids living in a large creepy house. And she's super strict about closing one door before opening another. It's foggy outside. Seems like I'm leaving clues (truth is I can't remember the name of the movie...drats!)
ReplyDeletehugs, Asha
I don't have a clue. I've avoided horror movies ever since "The Sound of Music" gave me the willies.
ReplyDeleteHmm...I can think of a lot of movies with fog. I cheated by looking at the comments and I think The Others could possibly be the movie you're talking about. I remember when I watched that the first time...creepy! And great ending too.

ReplyDeleteI kept thinking of Hitchcock when I read this. Birds? No I don't remember fog. You got me. But you absolutely must blame everything on menopause. There's a rule somewhere about that.
ReplyDeleteThe Others is what came to mind instantly, but I haven't seen a lot of horror movies.
ReplyDeleteI'm still clueless....
ReplyDeleteHope you've had a productive day and a relaxing evening.
Fatal Attraction?
ReplyDeleteHappy Tuesday, BB.
The Others would be my guess, unless this is a classic film.
ReplyDeleteI think Mia Wallace is a great contender. She always made me laugh, well freaked me out more like with that hypo syringe sticking out her chest - so totally awesome!
ReplyDeleteI'm terrible with clues, but I'm definitely looking forward to it, Birgit!
ReplyDeleteHope you had a good evening, Birgit.
