My hubby fishing hoping for the great huge pike...he got a little teeny weeny pike...of course he set it free.
We actually had rain which was refreshing but not a drop where we live. The one storm was quite violent.
Trees were uprooted and a trampoline was found on the major road along with power outages.
This river is extremely busy with all sorts of boats from sail boats, jet skis to little yachts. These people know how to live.
There are many bird lovers around here and we were constantly entertained by all the birdies...
So have I bored you yet? I hope you enjoyed some of the pictures.....so long for now:)
Sure looks like a nice spot. Guess only the tiny fish wanted to play. Maybe the crazy face scared them away lol

DeleteMany my husband and I drove along the St. Lawrence all the way to some small town north of the Maine border. Then we headed on down to Bar Harbor. It was beautiful country.

ReplyDeleteIt is never boring to vicariously enjoy the experiences of a dear friend. (Sounds like you and I are characters in Sense8. :) Your hubby's aunt & uncle have a lovely property there along the river. I enjoyed the shots of colorful birdies and various types of boats passing by. The storm picture is dramatic. I'm glad your relatives' house didn't sustain damage. Mrs. Shady went to the shore the other day and a storm blew in so quickly that it uprooted her giant umbrella and sent it tumbling down the beach. Fortunately it didn't spear any of the other beach goers who were scrambling to pack up and flee.

We had a great time and no damage from the storm. They were part of that awful flood a few years back. The water was from the river rose to just 2 inches from their main floor. Their basement was flooded but they didn't lose their home although they had to work so hard to try to keep it. A lot of work to repair the outside after

DeleteWow 35°c? That's way too hot for me. I just can't be outside in those temps. 25°c is about my limit. After that I feel like I'm melting.

DeleteLooks like a good place to visit, very pretty. Love the birds, something we miss in our apartment. Used to spend hours watching them when we were in NC. Sorry your hubby didn't get anything edible. Did you get the really violent storm on Sunday night (I think)?
