Yes, another Christmas card to get you in the mood...or not:) I stamped the flower on basic white cardstock twice. I coloured the image and then I fussy cut it out and stuck it onto the linen card stock. I cut out just the flowers from the 2nd stamped image and used pop up dots to give a 3D effect. I added the stickers and the yellow and red stickles for some bling. It's hard to see on this picture and I took this quickly with my I Pad before coming to work.

Butterfly Challenge-Fancy edges/borders and can do mint green

I had fun with green although I wish it was all about money but, alas, it is not. I stamped this image with my multi green dye ink and a bit of gold on the dandelion weed. Let's face it-this image is a weed or the flower I call Deewa:) I embossed it with the green tinsel, punched out the edges, sponged some green along the edges and adhere it to black cardstock and green cardstock. I finished it off with green bling and stickers. The little butterfly was also given some bling with gold wink of stella. WTF is wink of stella? It is a tube that looks a bit like some liquid lipstick but it holds glitter that one can get in different colours. The glitter is subtle which is nice and it comes with its own brush so you just brush it on.
Now I am going to do the A To Z Challenge and it will be about movies once again. I almost didn't do this at the last minute because I am thinking you are bored with my movie talk. I am hoping to showcase not only a movie but do a small highlight with someone associated with the film...we'll see how it goes.

Beware of hidden layers of ice that might be lurking under the fresh snow. The drastic temperature swings are sure to produce a spring crop of potholes, too! :)

DeleteBirgit, beautiful job on both, especially love the poinsettia card! I see you use Tombow markers. I use their charcoal pencils which I really like. I have three different brands of these and Tombow have a better feel on paper in my hand. I have a bunch of the Marvy LePlume II markers which I like but the thing is they tend to dry up too quickly. I don't use them like I should, so maybe I'm asking too much out of them. How long do the Tombow go before drying out? Assuming yours don't get used up first. lol I'll be looking forward to your movie A2Z prompts. I'm glad you're sticking with this theme because you always bring something new to my attention. Have a gr8 day, my friend!
ReplyDeleteMy tombow markers last a few years. I bought one green marker about 10 years ago and it is finally drying up. I love my pastels chalk and my prisma pencils. I am looking forward to your A to Z and glad you are looking forward to mine

DeleteThe brilliant red poinsettia with the gleam of gold is just gorgeous. THEN I saw the green bouquet...enlarged it to get a better look (which worked fine!) and this is just such amazing sparkle. The green shades are so pretty, and the gold really compliments that shade so much. Like the corner details and the silver embossing on the background. The bad weather sure inspired you for certain! These are beauties! TFS & Hgus

DeleteThere has to be a trade secret to "stamping" the flower onto the cardstock, I suspect because your cards look professional. Obviously your not going to blather the magician's trick to the audience, hehe but I had to ask. As for the movies - So juicey with sugar and spice on top. I want to write like that, good factual and punchy. The only critical acclaim I've observed in my travels across the blogosphere applies to bloggers everywhere from time to time. I'm so guilty of this - in 2010 I purchased a blu ray laptop, thrilled I was and wrote Star Trek The Motion Picture (Review) and inserted my new blu ray pics. To echo the words of Paul Newman, "Less is More" If only I had known this 7 years ago, haha.
ReplyDeleteThe rubber stamp has the image , in rubber, and you take ink and ink it up and then place it on the paper...voila! One can use basic ink that dries right away or one can use ink that doesn't dry so you take powder(various colours) and place it on the image. It sticks to the ink part and then you dry it with a heat gun. I really hope I can keep my A to Z posts short and with punch
