THE BOURNE IDENTITY-2002
An amnesiac tries to find out who he is while kicking some serious ass across Europe.
This stars Matt Damon, Franka Potente, Chris Cooper, Brian Cox and an almost Silent Clive Owen in a great thriller mystery with many stunts that defy description and one amazing car chase through the Paris streets. Matt decided to do many stunts himself...crazy nut! This started many sequels...big surprise.
Love this movie. Tried reading the books the movies were based on but just could not get into them. No Matt Damon? lol
ReplyDeleteHahahaaa. I haven’t read the books so....I am a bad gal
DeleteHi, Birgit!
ReplyDeleteHappy "B" day to you, dear friend!
I saw this film shortly after its release and enjoyed it. With stunts and a car chase, what's not to like? :) I always admire actors who do their own stunt work. Just last night Mrs. Shady and I watched an old episode of ER in which Geo. Clooney and Anthony Edwards adroitly dodged two speeding vehicles.
Have a good day, dear friend BB!
I am amazed when the stars do their own stunts. That car chase was excellent!
DeleteThe sequels are running out of gas but the series sure started with a bang.
ReplyDeleteYou are right and I love the first 3 the best
DeleteIt was a great movie indeed. Although then came the shaky camera sequels and that crap 4th one.
ReplyDeleteI am not much into the 4th film and I hope they don’t make a 5th
DeleteI saw it when it first came out, I wasn't too much of a fan.
ReplyDeleteI had a feeling.....😀
DeleteBirgit,
ReplyDeleteThe Bourne Identity series are excellent flicks! Besides "The Ocean's" movies, this is perhaps my favorite Matt Damon films. Thanks for sharing and happy A2Zing!
Y’all are invited to visit my all-in-one mewsic, sparks, & a2z post on Curious as a Cathy! ;)
This film is fun and so are the Ocean flicks. I will be visiting your blog for B
DeleteI absolutely hate car chases, it's the noise, but maybe - this does sound fun! Liz http://www.poetryroundabout.com
ReplyDeleteHi Birgit - it is a fun film ... and so many have been hooked by the film, tv series or book ... an easy watch for me ... but I miss much I'm sure - cheers Hilary
ReplyDeleteI think I saw one of the sequels, and likewise, I wasn't impressed. The franchise made a lot of money, though.
ReplyDeleteAmazing series of films, right in the genre I like best.

I don't know why I never got into these movies. Maybe because I saw Bourne as invading Bond's cinematic turf. Ha.
ReplyDeleteMy favorite is the sequel in which he and Julia Stile's character got together.
ReplyDeleteI can't remember how I got dragged to this one. I did like it, but not enough to see the sequels. I think. I think I saw the first sequel. (Such a memorable movie ;)
ReplyDeleteI tried to watch this movie once. I think I got about 20 minutes into it and already I was finding it impossible to suspend disbelief. Plus, just not my kind of 'Action' movie to begin with.
ReplyDeleteOh, well. I gave it a quick chance to pull me in and it didn't. Such is life sometimes.

STMcC Presents 'BATTLE OF THE BANDS'
I like this series of movies. My husband is a big fan. One of his repeat "go to movies". Great post.
ReplyDeleteGood choice for B.
ReplyDeleteI enjoyed the Bourne series.
Read and enjoyed the book. Not real sure I've ever seen the movie though. TFS & have a great week.
ReplyDeleteRead the book, never saw the movie.
ReplyDeleteI loved this one!
ReplyDeleteBourne movies are some of my favorites. The Robert Ludlum novels they were based on are good too.
ReplyDeleteLove this film and the franchise. I have a couple of them on DVD.

Tossing It Out
This was the only one in the franchise that I've seen. I saw it on an airplane, so the image was about the size of a postage stamp. It probably would have made a better impression on me if it'd been easier to view. I always enjoy Matt Damon in his roles.
ReplyDeleteI've seen all the Bourne movies. I saw them on tv, during a binge watch one weekend. They are fabulous, and I loved how Matt Damon did his own stunts. Great B choice, Birgit.
