Who Won The Oscar Song2020

I'm actually on vacation enjoying our time at his Aunt's home on the Richelieu River. I hope to listen to some of the music over at Monday Music Moves Me but if not now, I will next week. So, the year is 2020 at the height of Covid and, very recent. Who do you think won the Oscar, who was nominated and who got snubbed...let's see if you guess correctly.

1. SPIRIT SUNG BY BYONCE

Humble, chaste Beyonce sang this song for The Lion King and became another huge hit for this chick who needs a lesson in humbleness and "stop wearing those in your face" glittery outfits. I used to like her but I just want to slap her like Moira Rose does to people.

2. IM GONNA LOVE ME AGAIN SUNG BY ELTON JOHN

Here's good ole Elton belting out a song from his own bio called "Rocketman" that starred Taron Eggerton as Elton John. It's actually, a very film.

3. INTO THE UNKNOWN SUNG BY IDINA MENZEL

I still have to watch Frozen and Frozen 2....Idina Menzel sings this song with much gusto. Sadly, she is often known for Travilta screwing up her name than for what she has accomplished. Poor John...gone are the days when all the huge stars would screw up the names of ...everyone especially when it was Best Foreign Film.

So, which won the Oscar, which was nominated and who got nadda?

  1. Frozen is overrated in my opinion. I love Disney movies, but this one felt like a jumbled mess. Even though it contains my last name...

    1. That's why I haven't seen it because it was just everywhere and I hated the "let it be" song. One day...

  2. Disney hasn't made a good movie in years. Parents today don't have any good choices for nice films for their kids except the old classics which I hope soar in sells sending a message to the executives that they need to do something different in script writing and movie production. Of course that's something any film maker can learn from because big screen entertainment is really lacking and has been for years. Good music, though. Thanks for sharing!

    1. I miss the old Disney when it was more realistic like Old Yeller which makes me laugh since many Disney films seem to have death in all their movies...hahaaa. I like the old Wonderful World of Disney when Walt would introduce the show. He was dead by then but they knew how to do that even back then.

  3. Elton won this one! Into The Unknown wasn't even the best song on Frozen 2, IMO, but it was very catchy, and I liked how they had all the Elsas sing it at the ceremony.
