  1. Well, you got me on that one. Do not think I ever heard her name or if I did I can make no connection even though I have seen some of her films. Glad I met you through your blog. I look forward to your future posts.

  2. I have enjoyed your theme for this A-Z odyssey and look forward to keeping up with your blog in the future! All those wonderful photos, I love the style. But, your added information (which was very interesting) showed old stars could be just as screwed up as many people are now. Maybe things don't change as much as we think.

Anyway, congratulations on a wonderful job :-)

  8. God, she was gorgeous! I'd never heard of her, either, but she looks stunning in that picture. I can see why Mr Balanchine (and his wife?) was so taken by her.

  10. So, maybe I'm just over tired, but was she married three times to the same guy, or was George just the last and final hubby?
Glad we made it through the challenge. And just think how much smarter we are now. Congrats to us! Oh, and I loved the story scenario you put in the comments on my blog. Thank you so much!

  11. It's kind of tragic, you know? Makes you wonder if she hadn't gone into dancing, what kind of life would she have lived?

    1. I think she lived and breathed dancing. She would have been in dancing no matter what but she was so beautiful and it was the time of the great musicals so i think she just dabbled more in films than became a true star

  18. You stumped with this one, Birgit. :-) If they wanted to do a movie on her, Uma Thurman could play her based on looks.
