Belated Valentine's Cards since the blasted pictures wouldn't download!
Grrrrrrr. I was finally able to create some cards and when it came time to download them...nuttin! This has happened ever since...well, you know (Blasted F%$@! Mother%^&$%# windows 10). OK So my wonderful hubby was able to get it working this eve and I wanted to get them on here even though I should be snoring away. Here are a couple of cards...

I decided to choose these flowers since they have been floating around my room for a couple of years now. Well, not really floating, that would mean I would have some neat powers, which I don't....but wish I did. Anyway, I was reading a fellow Blogger who loves to have her hands in the dirt, literally, since Kathy Lynch loves gardening and gives some great tips. It seems she needed a little Valentine's card so I made this for her and, if she wants me to send it her way, I will! You can check out her blog over at The Dirt. I just took some card stock and layered it up. A piece of light lilac, I placed in the cuddlebug to get the background design and used my fancy scissors to cut around for a fancy border. I placed these flowers on top and continued doing so with some small pop up dots for a 3D effect. I added some stickers and a little bling. I thought these flowers needed to finally get chosen:)

This was made for my hubby since he calls me his sunshine (cue the awwwwww or the puke, I don't care cos I go all gooshy, with the awwww that is). I created the background using alcohol inks in a pink, red and bronze. Oops, I did it again but replaced the bronze with a yellow. I stamped my sun on the background and then, again on the one with yellow on it. I cut out the sun face from the yellow one I used plus the hearts I made and placed the face on top of the ...um...face so one can see a subtle difference and then added the hearts around it. This was placed on a pink, then yellow card stock (the yellow has a shimmer to it). I used the sizzex machine to cut out the borders and added a little bling in the shape of hearts. My hubby loved his card. So that is all for now...have a great week everyone!

I am remembering way back before Windows 10 when I had to start using Google's Chrome browser for my blog because Windows Internet Explorer kept giving me trouble. Now I just use Chrome for everything and don't go near Windows new browser. So, what browser do you use? Lovely cards by the way.ReplyDelete
Sorry to hear about the technical issues. But you took good photos of the cards.ReplyDelete
Happy Valentine's belated. :)
Just think. You will soon be celebrating the first anniversary of the day your wonderful hubby insisted on installing Blasted F%$@! Mother%^&$%# windows 10! :)
I love both of these cards! The shades of blue and green on the first card go well together and are among my favorites on the color wheel. The second card reminds me of my college years when I had psychedelic black light posters covering the walls of my dorm room. It kinda reminds me of that Cream album Disraeli Gears.
Happy Wednesday, dear friend BB!
Very nicely done on both of them :) If I had to choose, and I'm glad that I didn't, I did like the one you made for your hubby over the other one, but both are great! Every day at work on my work computer, I get the notice to upgrade to Windows 10 and every day I click it off and say "no thank you" to myself.ReplyDelete
Wait a second, the cat just had a hairball moment. Okay, better lol They both really pop out and catch the eye indeed.ReplyDelete
Aw, sounds like you will forgive him the Windows thing if he calls you Sunshine! I don't know if you pop back to check replies on my blog or not, but in case not I got your comment and said it would be lovely to meet if we can and that I would email you nearer the time (April, not actually long I know!)ReplyDelete
I love the sunshine card. And I said "Aww!" :D Love those colors so much.ReplyDelete
Both are wonderful and I'd have happily given ether to my wife for Valentine's Day.ReplyDelete
Awwwwwwww, you're hubster is trés sweet. Your valentines are the best!ReplyDelete
I love that second one. Sorry about the computer trouble. If it's not one thing, it's another.ReplyDelete
Both are nice. I especially like the first one for the fact that neither pink nor red is the dominant color.ReplyDelete
Wow, and here I was without a Valentine's Day card when I really needed one. I should have engaged your services.ReplyDelete
They're both beautiful.
WOW.... these are seriously gorgeous, Birgit. The first is definitely perfect for a gardening enthusiast.... but the second card is bursting with fire and passion ... WOWZER!ReplyDelete
