  1. I didn't know she had such a tragic family history. I've always enjoyed reading her interviews. She seemed ahead of her time in many ways.

  4. Is it bad to say she always seemed to brash for me? I admire her ambition and talent--I just felt like she was the type who could really kick someone's butt if they angered her!

    1. oh boy you ain't kiddin-she was really angry at the director on Suddenly Last Summer for how he treated Montgomery Clift. When she asked him, at the end, if they were done with every shot and no more retakes or anything else needed of her. the director said nope all done-she spat in his face!

  5. The Great Kate. She could comedy and drama, as flawlessly as anyone. And what a businesswoman and Hollywood powerhouse.

  7. Isn't she just stunning. She, Lauren Bacall (for whom I'm named after) and Grace Kelly are my heroes. Substance and class.

  8. Oh man. I just discovered your blog from the A-to-Z website. Love, love, love your theme. Old-timey celebrities were so wonderful (and attractive!). I know they did the same stupid things and got into the same scandals as these days, but somehow they made it seem classier.

Oh, and Katherine Hepburn was incredible.
