Craft Your Passion- Something beginning with the letter "B"

First, I hope I did not offend anyone with my last post but I just couldn't believe what my doggie and pussy cat did! I missed the 52 Card challenge last week with their sketch so I combined last week with this week's challenge and made the card traditional with the colour combo. Craft Your Passion is right up my alley since my name starts with a B (and no not that B but at times I can be one:)). The first card has a bow and a bird and the last card has blue! I LOVE blue. I rarely use patterned paper so Christmas cards All Year Round has a great challenge for me. Most of my cards are flat since I do still mail cards (nope not e-mail, actual mail).  I am into Snowmen recently...um, that didn't sound right and they are a bit cold for my taste. Now I saw a beautiful card done by a fellow crafter, Bekka, who created a snowman card using the same stamp! I think she does an amazing job and you should check her cards out. I actually stole, um, I mean lifted...nope, I mean paid homage by creating a similar vibe with my snowman but I love hers so much better. If you can, too, she created a wondrous card and story about abuse a couple of weeks back. I hope Bekka doesn't mind me gushing about her here.

I do believe I write the way I talk which is scary! Whatever comes into my little head plops down on the page like mashed potatoes.

  1. I thought your last post was hilarious. In a disturbing way, but funny anyway.
Like the first card. The cardinal is our state bird.

  2. Personally, I loved the last post. PMSL. Some things in life must be told as is. We can't censor and sanitise everything. Having said that, it may be wise for Smut and Slut to keep a profile until the dust settles. Both cards are lovely. Love the luxurious colours of the first and the frosty feel of the second. I've got a thing for snowmen too... so your secret is safe with me!

  4. Both of your cards are beautiful! Love the cardinal and the snowman. I guess Christmas really is coming. Ack, not ready. The prior post was funny. If you write the way you talk, sitting down for coffee with you would quite enjoyable :-)

  5. Your mashed potato brain can plop down on the page any day of the week, Birgit! :) You are the sweetest ever!! Thank you so much for boosting my ego by "paying homage". Haha. I feel like a dictator or something now, using that phraseology.

Your cards are gorgeous and I LOVE what you've done with that snowman stamp. Yours is so much more glittery than mine and glitter and I are like best friends... except I don't own any. Which probably should be remedied.

    Thanks for making me smile!!

    2. I used to live in NE Ohio, so Canada was just down the road. When we were little, we were always excited when we found Canadian coins mixed in change we got at the store.

Now I live in the South and I mentioned that to someone one day when we were talking about things that kids like. They looked at me like I had just rode a meteor in. No amount of explaining made them "relate" to the story, bwahahaha.

Oh, Canada...I do love your bacon (smirk).

Hey, do you use a heat gun?

  16. You have two terrific cards here! You did an excellent job combining this week's 52{C}CT colors and last week's sketch on the first card. I love the pretty cardinal (which is my state bird, too). Thanks for joining us - I hope you'll be back again soon for another challenge! :)
Also, you did a super job with the sky background on your snowman card.
