Oh My Goodness!! I am a survivor....or am I?
Maybe this is a mystery-I am a victim and who is the killer??? Ok Nothing that dramatic. You don't need to grab your ratty trench coat and try to solve a crime. I did survive the A to Z Challenge and thoroughly enjoyed it!
Great posts by so many people who I am now following and vice versa. I have read about quilting, Everyday musings, travel, amazing grandchildren with wonderful talents written by a beautiful lady (Grammy's News), the paranormal, fairy tales and tales from the dark side. Places people love to revisit or starting anew in a new land, the animal lovers and art lovers-I salute you. To the ladies who made me think about education and the meaning of joy in life and made me smile every day. I also found out about different foods and fruits and got great recipes from Sharon Himsl. For example check out http://shells-tales-sails.blogspot.ca/2014/04/t-is-for-thimbleberry-yummy-fruits-z.html?utm_source=feedburner&utm_medium=feed&utm_campaign=Feed:+ShellsTalesAndSails+(Shells,+Tales,+and+Sails)-I made this recipe but with raspberries and it is delicious if I do say so myself.
It looks pretty good for a first try.
Stephanie Faris - http://stephie5741.blogspot.ca/-is revealing her book cover today and that is something special so I look forward to the blog-hop even though I am a crafter of cards and not a writer-oh well. I am writing here.
This was my first A to Z-I loved every moment. Since it is my first I can't critique the negative things and why when I had a great time. I loved the pictures and commentaries and loved what people wrote and what they wrote on my blog. To the people who started this and helped out from the great Alex and all the rest. It was fun!
Thanks for participating! I hope it sends some new people your way. We all made so many new friends during the A to Z challenge. I don't think I realized at the beginning how many new blogs I'd have to read! That raspberry dessert looks delicious.ReplyDelete
yes and it was fun. I didn't realize all the blogs I would be reading wither-lol but all fun. Yes that dessert is great and not too sweet or heavy as made with cottage cheese instead of cream cheeseDelete
Ah, the excitement of the first year. Now, while I found great blogs like yours, slogging through many of them was a real chore. I really need to look on the bright, or is that the Birgit, side!ReplyDelete
I picked where I wanted to look and others picked me which was great. Thanks about my blog:) and yours is wonderful too-enjoyed readin itDelete
Congratulations, Birgit for completing the challenge and with so many colourful posts about colorful lives of movie stars from yesteryears. Is that you in the top picture? :) And that raspberry delicacy looks so yummy! Mouth-watering.ReplyDelete
Beauty Interprets, Expresses, Manifests the Eternal
yes that is me-I think my hubby should poke me with a stick:) The raspberry cake is delicious if i do say so myself and you can find the recipe at Sharon Himsl's blogDelete

It was fun to visit and read everyone's blog-Hope Koda wasn't too lonely during this time:)Delete
Good work on getting through it! I was glad to see you stop by my blog so often!ReplyDelete
Yes loved what you wrote abou all those nasty creaturesDelete
It was my first A to Z too, and I thought it was brilliant. Already planning what I could do next year......ReplyDelete
Anabel at Anabel's Travel Blog
We are the newbies and it was fun. I am also thinking about next year:)Delete
I was glad to see your name keep popping up and that you enjoyed my posts so much. I have visited your blog and am now a 'new follower' - it looks great. As to the hyperlinked signature (as I mentioned, where there is a direct link) you would just doReplyDelete
EITHER You can visit my blog BB Creations (where the BB Creations is a different colour)
OR You can visit my blog BB Creations here (where the word 'here' is a different colour)
I have been trying to write down the html so you can copy it, but Blogger keeps turning even total rubbish into beautiful links! So go back to my post and just put createdbybb.blogspot.co.uk where I have got genwestuk.blogspot.co.uk
The different colour would come up because your blog settings have made it so.
Let me know if this makes any sense.
Glad you are a new follower and loved your blog. As to following -nope all greek to me:)-Have absolutely no idea what to doDelete
I am lots of blogs I missed during the challenge while looking at wrap-ups. There were so many in the challenge! The desert looks delicious and I am ready for a not overly sweet one. My husband made chocolate chip cookies and I keep eating them but they are toooo sweet.ReplyDelete
Hi there-I did not find it too sweet but my hubby said i added too many raspberries-oh well. There are so many great blogs out there it is hard to look at all but thanks for dropping by:)Delete
hahaha, love that photo. Also, I'm drooling over the yummy cake. Looking forward to reading about your card crafting. I actually finished the one on my to do list last night. Very simple it was.ReplyDelete
The View from the Top of the Ladder
Love to see your card. I have one in the making but full time work gets in the way and I must watch Dancing With The Stars. The cake is yummy-I think-my ex thought it was quite yummy and my husband thought I put too many raspberries on top (my ex came over for dinner last night)Delete
That photo says it all. :) I hear the relief and sense of accomplishment coming across very clearly. Great reflection post and A-Z entries -- I very much enjoyed my visits here. Congrats!ReplyDelete
thank you-I thought a visual was good to have-lolDelete
Yeah, that's kinda how I felt at the end there, too. Glad you made it through.ReplyDelete

Your posts were a treat, Birgit! And I so appreciate your visits and comments on my blog! :-) I loved that we connected. The A to Z has been an equally wonderful experience for me - second time around. Thank you!ReplyDelete
I loved your blog as well and also glad we connected:) Happy smilingDelete
Congratulations, Birgit! That's quite an achievement and you did it with style!ReplyDelete
Thank you so much AshaDelete
Birgit, you are definitely a survivor and deserve a big pat on the back!! I really enjoyed your posts and the trip down memory lane. 'Head on desk thoroughly exhausted' is exactly how I felt, too. I'm so glad you tried the cheesecake. It's on my list to make this summer, but the diet...er the calories, keeps me from making it too often :)ReplyDelete
It's a great dessert and, due to gaining even when I look at cakes or chocolate, I won't make it every weekend but I will make it more than once. It is actually light and not that sweet-really niceDelete
Congratulations on completing the challenge! I'm not too keen on raspberries, but your dessert does look delicious. Thanks for sharing. I'm just stopping by briefly as I drive around on the 2014 A-Z Road Trip…don't forget to wave when you see me go by! (lol)
