Over at Wandering Through The Shelves, another movie week. I apologize for disappearing as I didn’t think that would happen but my friend from Vancouver came for a visit and he didn’t leave until Thursday. I actually met him in good ole Hogtown, aka, Toronto, and we had lots of fun.  This week it is super long titles and, if you can recall, I screwed up early in the year and gave my 3 way back then. I can't recall which theme I was supposed to do so I am showcasing some pics I took when in Toronto. I have also been busy with decorating as it takes me a while to get the house Christmasfied. I hope to be back now even though I am baking and still gave to so the tree. On with some pics..

This is from the distillery where the Christmas market was on and it was so nice. Finally, we are catching up to Germany and Austria who have these markets for centuries.

The lobby in the Fancy and beautiful Royal York . The 2 story facade all lit up is made from real gingerbread.

This winter wonderland was at Ontsrio Place and it was great! We went in the last hour which worked as we saw everything without the throngs of people with their screaming kids.

Freaky fish that lives in the Great Lakes...who knew? We went to Rupkey's Aquarium and it is worth seeing! I am not a fish person but this was cool to see.

This was a huge and deep fish tank. I was gobsmacked by how large this was.

This lobster is truly this blue

You could stand on a moving walk and watch all these fish plus some sharks swimming right over you.

Ok we may look stoned but we were freezing spending a nice day in Niagara On The Lake. So I hope I didn't bore you with my picks I promise to be back in blog land. Take care and Happy 3rd week of Advent.

  1. No problem with being away from the internet especially during the holiday season. I was kind of kicked off the internet for a few days--it went down for 3 days in my area which seems rather odd to me. Now I'm back and swamped with emails and the like. Maybe I was better off with no internet?

Enjoyed seeing the photos. I've always loved Toronto. Never been there at Christmastime, but I'd guess it would be pretty nice.

    Have a wonderful Christmas season!

  4. Great shots indeed. They sure go all out on the lights. Best to go with no screaming kiddos indeed. The cold sucks though.

  6. Visiting friends IRL is way more important than keeping up with the blog. Looks like you had a great time with some great scenery.

  8. Enjoyed your pics Birgit, never been to TO at Christmastime, not been there for years anyway. Quite happy in my little corner of Kitchener. Glad you had fun with your friend. I love aquariums. But it is a bit offputting sometimes to see what we have been swimming amongst.

  9. I was without a phone and internet for two days, so I applaud you for spending time with your friend. You shared some awesome photos of Toronto. It makes me want to put it on my bucket list.

You certainly went to a lot of great places, and it looks like you two had tons of fun, too. Thanks for sharing Toronto through your lens. I enjoyed it.

  10. Birgit,

You absolutely did not bore me with your pictures! I love seeing the festivities in other communities!! It looks like y'all had a delightful time. I'm not sure if I'm ready to get back to my normal blog routine but with the holidays so close now there will be some interruption in my schedule in Blogosphere and that's okay. We all need to enjoy the world beyond one's computer monitor, eh? Have a blessed Christmas season, dearheart!

  14. Hi, Birgit!

I enjoyed scrolling through your colorful, magical Toronto pics, dear friend. I see inspiration for future greeting cards. Looks like you had a great time. Miss Photogenic, and you certainly didn't bore me. The colored effects at night are stunning, but my favorite pics are the series you snapped at the aquarium. Those fish are so beautiful and I never saw a bright blue lobster before.

Thanks for playing show and tell, dear friend BB, and enjoy the rest of your week getting Christmasfied! :)

  15. Birgit, you look wintery cute in your outfit. I love that hat. It's fun to see all the holiday sparkle sparkle. We did that on Saturday. It put me in the mood to get our Christmas cards printed, but we have yet to address them. lol Merry Christmas!
