Monday Minute

1. Do you use shaving cream when you shave?

Only on my face...and arms...and chest. OK OK Yes I once belonged to the circus I was Hairy faced girl:) OKOK My name is really Barney...OKOK Nope I just use water on my legs but I will try the conditioner. I heard about that before and I should remember when I am actually in the shower:)

2. Name two things you consider yourself to be very bad at?

Only 2? I mean really? I could have a great list! Let's see-Computers! I have to use them at work and yes I have a blog and an e-mail and can google things up but unless it is all set up for me I suck at it. I asked a friend to show me how to put pics on the blog when I first joined but she never got around to it so my niece came to the rescue! I also had no idea until today that I had that stupid word verification on. It took me a sweaty half hour to locate it and that only after giving up and looking at Marlene's blog and giggling that I tried again. Did I ever tell you that, back in the 80's I shut the whole MAC lab down at the University? We had to write our essays on there and I had no idea what I was doing. Noone helped and I finally got so mad I put my fists down on the keyboards and then all of a sudden I heard this sound..kinda like a bomb coming down and my computer and then the whole line I was using all went off! I quietly picked up my bags and got the hell out od there. About 3 weeks later a friend who was heavy into computers was talkjing about the mac lab and that they were down for close to 3 weeks and had to bring someone in from Texas! Now the other thing...Singing! If you want dogs from all of niagara to come and bark and howl then you would wnat me to sing.

3. What's your favourite song?

"To Dream The Impossible Dream" The best is sung by Richard Kiley who originated the role of Don Quixote in Man of La Mancha. I also Love the Queen song "We are the Champions". I think because I was badly bullied in school and to keep going those 2 songs would inspire me. There are so many songs out there though that I love.

4. If somebody asked you to sum yourself up in three words, what would they be?

Forceful, sensitive (sometimes too much), Blond moments (On another blog, the lady was commemorating birthdays of Entertainment greats and she mentioned she put in her favourite Monkey. Well I looked and saw Clark Gable, and so many others for February including Peter Tork from the Monkeys and of course in my brilliant manner I asked where the monkey is. I thought she meant Cheetah). OKOK those 3 can be considered negative so I will also say, compassionate, artistic, intelligent(Yup even with those blond moments...really)

5. Out of the following three, which do you hate most: pineapple, canteloupe, or strawberries?

Canteloupe. I love strawberries! I love pineapple and I am OK with Canteloupe. I will always eat just about all fruit but I will only have 2 or 3 pieces of the orange stuff. The smell is not that great either and I would not go as far as moldy ass:) but it does have that certain ick smell.

OK I love Shelley and this poem. I used perfect pearls to try to evoke the sea and sun and all. I used black dye ink for the image and coloured them with tombow markers. Now it all turned out pretty good except I wanted just a hint of lip and what do I do? I make them look like horney toads who must have been kissing for 3 hrs! Oh well:)

The Moss Rose

The angel of the flowers, one day,

This first one is for 365 day cards and also Crafty Creations and Simon Says-well so is the other one too. O stamped the card and embossed in gold. I coloured it with tombow markers-same with the angel. I used gold stickers to surround the card. I also cut out the angel and I made a second rose which I cut out and, using pop up dots made it more than 1 dimensional. Oh I also used chalk around the rose. I love that poem and Craft Creations said to use an inspirational poem so I found 2:)

Butterflies be Free

It is another open challenge at Flutter By Wednesdays and so here is my card entry. I did a little cheat by having this auto design already but you still have to puncture the whole border. I added these demensional embossing crystals over the butterflies for an added pop and then I used chalk for the outer butterflies. The spring look is in considering we got about a foot of snow yesterday. My hubby had a big amount to shovel (he usually does but this time I am talking about snow). I am amazed his arms don't look like Arnold Schwarzenegger. Happy days!

Monday Minute

1. What is your favourite time of day?

I had to think about this one but I think the afternoon. I am not a morning person and I am too sore so it takes awhile and then night-I am already yawning(ughh middle age) but I seem to get groovin by about 1 to 6:)

2. Do you and your significant other send sexy texts?

hahahahahaha-I am lucky i know how to turn on a computer! I have a basic pay as you go phone and my hubby hates cell phones so he doesn't have one. Now put into the mix these cell phones with all the buttons and bows and you are just asking for way too much for our brains to handle:) We do write ourselves lovey dovey notes the old fashioned way. Notes and texts are one thing-I love actuality:) Ok too much information!

3. If you got your dream job anywhere in the U.S. where would you choose to move to?

I am limited to the U.S.??? Can i choose Europe:) Austria:) Vienna??? Bummers..OK so the U.S.....hmmmmmm..... I know I am being such a pissant. OK Well I love film but that is in California which is ready to be dumped into the ocean. New York is also just way too crowded. The South is too dang hot and they may thump me with one of their bibles..or rifles so hmmmm. OK I am being a real snot. I would say Montana or Colorado but also the New England states are so beautiful too. OK I know I am being a wise ass Canuck:) Don't hate me:))

4. What are you wearing?

I am wearing my purple platform shoes, with orange leggings and hot pink sequined bra top and a big hat in bright blue with feathers....Ha get that image out of your head-huggy bear eat your heart out. I would be ready to go on What Not To Wear! OK I am wearing nothing..Oops sorry that is for my text message to my sweetie. OK I am wearing light pants, green turtle neck and a burgundy corderoy blazer:) OK bad spelling in some spots:)

5. If you had a choice to skip work for a day, how would you spend the entire day?

Ahh to escape life for a day.... I would have a massage then I would go to an art museum (maybe the AGO-Art Gallery of Toronto), I would have an afternoon wine or 2 and go see a good movie like True Grit or The King's Speech

Sisterly love

I actually made this card first(I made another one if you want to see more of my blog:)) I have been away from this since before Christmas so I feel kinda rusty. On Flutter By Wednesday it is white on white. Well I just have one basic white cardstock actually with the central image being the fairies. They are pop up fairies which i always enjoy doing. They come out so nice and pictures never seem to do them justice because it is shiny and I am not A photo gal. I embossed the white backround with my cuttlebug and placed the fairy image on top and then I used stickles in certain key places. My friend's cute little daughter is turning 5 on Wednesday so this is for her...Little miss Tori Lee

Spring

Well, After how long??? Yup I finally made a card...or 2:) This is for 365 Day cards and Crafty Creations. The skethc challenge for 365 cards was good to get started. The crafty creations stated to do something with warmth in it...meaning embossing, warm colours etc... since it has been so dang cold. I used some orange.red card stock and I had some yellow cardstock that I spomged and, I guess, distressed with a variety of dye pad ink colours(red, apricot brown, brown, orange...I used my sea sponge for the effect. I used a stmaped image for the squares and used perfect pearls-bronze, yellow sparkle, forever red and dreamsicle. I have my art nouveau stamp which I stamped in dark red and coloured her in with tombow markers and finally embossed with black sparkle the words. I ended it with some black stickles around the border.

I am cheating because I did NOT make this card. My wonderful hubby made this for me:) This was my Christmas card from him to me and , I was the perfect girl...I cried with joy. He found this card with the angel and thought of a story as if she is changing the flowers into snow. He then used a cardboard for a backdrop and he found various ribbons and he used my glitter in blues, silver and red. I might be cheating but I entered it in Flutter by Wednesday. I am bragging about my man. My heart is all aflutter..OK you can gag now:) Finally a card, even though it is not mine, on my blog. I think I can now get back into card making.
