Hubby hard at work...creating snowmen:)

So my hubby is quite the guy! My ADHD man does not know the meaning of the word "slow" and is in constant motion. He also loves to talk and so do I which creates quite the nut farm in our humble abode. We are both Gemini's...you realize that makes us both nuts.

He suffers from Rheumatoid Arthritis which has slowed him down, for him that is. When he needs to rest, he comes on the computer and starts to create, with pride, his snowmen. They are quite intricate and I think they are quite nifty. Some of these snowmen also look a bit shifty but they are all fun!

Since he is a dingbat when it comes to anything electronic, he asked me to place these on my blog and see what you all think:) This man can fix vacuums-hell, he took 3 that were on the side of the road for garbage pick up, and fixed all of them. He built our front stairs and has received many compliments (I chose the colours). He replaced our roof on the house after we had a bad wind storm. Can he figure out how to use the DVR? Nope...complete dingbat! I even wrote instructions.... Nope! I came home from work and he had screwed up the TV and complained it was not put together correctly (wires etc...). I got it back in shape in 20 seconds. Oh well he is my wonderful dingbat.

So here are some of his snowmen:

This one reminds me of the pigeon lady in Home Alone 2

He is one snowman who loves the sun

OK they are the Valleygirl snowmen wearing ugs:)

This is how I felt this past winter:)

This snowman has one long carrot for a nose.....there is a dirty joke in there somewhere:)

He is working on another one with 3 snowmen but this is his group for now:) Oh and here are the front stairs he built and painted.

He is responsible for the beautiful plants since I am the kiss of death. he will no longer let me be near them. I still will give my 2 cents worth though because I can(I am smiling with an evil grin).

  2. Beautiful steps he made; I like your yard; so green! He does seem talented in his own way, so what if he's a bit technology challenged (I totally understand, I'm the same way). I like his snowmen. I haven't seen colorful snowmen like this before, but it works with the bright colors of them! My favorite was the first one. I hope down the road you'll share more of his talent with us :)

  10. Your husband is pure talent. The stairway looks really cool. I'm totally amazed with his ability to achieve such precise "paint brush" strokes with a computer! My favorite is third from the end. "Help I'm melting!"

You should incorporate some of his snowmen into your cards.

  12. Everyone has their talents. The stairs are wonderful. The important thing is whether he enjoys his time making the snowmen.

    1. He worked quite hard in creating these stairs and not bad for someone who never studied how to do this..comes naturally to him. Thanks for following:)

  14. First of all, I would love to be a fly on the wall in your house. I bet you guys are hilarious :) second, your hubby might not get electronics, but he's amazing at carpentry! Those stairs are gorgeous, and they do not look easy to build. Also, I love the Valleygirl snowmen. Like, LOVE them. And the one right under them, with the Van Gogh-esque swirls in the air. So cool.

    1. Oh yes people just shake their heads when we get started:) He is great in creating so much and you have to see his true art that he does with mahogany. He does wood burning but to such detail it looks like tapestry. I will showcase his work later this month. Glad you love the valley girls and the Starry Night one:)

  16. I love them! The first one is my favorite. Although Willy Dunne Wooters has been a computer programmer for many years, he knows very little about how to use a computer. He's also worthless when it comes to DIY. Good thing I enjoy talking to him and cuddling him.

    Love,

  18. That sounds like the equation of one great due: one dingbat plus two creatives. Love his art. You got a good dingbat there. DVRs and remotes are so darn confusing - I'm on his side on that one. I'm a dingbat too.

  21. This man is a keeper, Birgit. Mine is a total geek - electronics and computers are his thing.... and that's about it. He can't boil an egg, he can't make the bed and he's rubbish at DIY. He's been building a garden shed (or so he says) for the past 15 years! And look at your front stairs! WOW
    hugs, Asha

    1. Yes he is a keeper. He has made me dinner more than once...actually, since he is not working, he makes the dinners during the week and cleans the house! He won't dust though. That's OK look at what he all does:)

  22. Oooh, Birgit, you have a Wonder Man! All his snowmen are full of whimsy and delight. My favorite is the tanning snowman. I like the stairs. Very oh-la-la colors.
