Crazy, Crazy Time because  I am waist deep in Birthday nut ville. In the span of 3 weeks there are 7 birthdays! It ends with my birthday and I was always so happy that I did not "share" my birthday with anyone. Now that has gone all to hell! I am not even counting Mother's Day. It starts off with my friend's birthday on the 14th, the 17th of May was my hubby's niece's Birthday, My niece, Jade, was on the 18th. The 25th is my hubby's birthday which is today! My friend's son is the 21st, her daughter's is the 29th and mine if June 2nd.  There are more to follow....

The card above is for my hubby and I had fun creating this colourful display. I used different coloured perfect pearls for the background and the Tim Holz for the inner paper which I stenciled using that very wide "metal" ribbon with holes in it to put the paste on and then placed perfect pearl on top. It gives a velvety appearance. I used a die cut and embossed the saying which fits my hubby perfectly and actually some of you who write, are not happy with it, get rid of what you wrote and start from scratch!. I coloured the sun with gamsol pencils and fussy cut it and adhered it to the  card. My hubby always says I am his sunshine so now I am listening for the Awwwwwwe sound (no barfing please). I think it has a dreamy, glitz and a glamour to it in a Star Trek sort of way.

sponged dye ink colours in purple, blue, aqua and used a light purple. Die cuts borders & centre, embossed word, embossing powder in silver pearl. crystals, butterflies, stickles.

Oh I went so girly with this one, I must have been taken over by a fembot. Light colours, pink, glitter and some glam with this card also. This is for my friend's birthday in July as she is totally all girl.

  5. Hi, BB! Happy birthday to your husband and all your other loved ones born in May and let me be the first to wish you a happy birthday as well. Three members of my family have May b-days, Mrs. Shady, my granddaughter and, just arrived, my new grandson, born May 18. Those are beautiful me-made cards and the recipients will surely treasure them!

Have a wonderful week ahead, dear Birgit!

  8. Hubby and I don't do much for birthdays, other then we usually have a nice meal, say happy birthday, and sometimes we do cards, sometimes not. The rest of our family celebrate, to me it seems over the top, the go out to eat and have parties for every birthday. I can see special ones like 1st, 6th, 16th for the kids, but the last one we attended (we usually don't), there were about a hundred people. The child who's party it was had so many toys they were storing them in the 2nd bathroom....thus my thinking it's too much...........way too much and over the top. We put money in a college fund and didn't bother with a present. I love your personalized cards, and I love the saying on the first one about art!

    1. My hubby went nuts for me last year cos I turned the big 50. We usually get something for each other which we know we love and go out for dinner. I think kids nowadays, receive too much and do not value what they do get. It is out of hand. In my day, I had one or 2 friends over, some gifts, hotdogs and hamburgers and that was that-oh and a homemade cake

  9. No barfing here. My wife makes me cards like this too, and it always makes me awwww. I love those colors. That looks dazzling. And sharing a birthday with others may be bad but my wife's birthday is Christmas. And her entire life she's gotten shafted on gifts, parties, you name it.

  24. We have a similar May birthday/holiday explosion, with both my wife's and my birthday, our anniversary and of course Mother's day all within 10 days of each other. It's hard to keep up, and I certainly can't make cards that look like that for gifts. ;-)

    1. I never thought that they bite but there feet can have "suckers" on them so they can adhere to the tiny flowers etc... Thank you about my female card-glad you love it and if you wanted a butterfly card I can just send one to you-no cost
