Letter H

HARRY POTTER AND THE PRISONER OF AZKABAN-2004

Oh those 3 kids are back for more adventure, meeting a nice professor on the train and meeting the Dementors who are not very nice. A prisoner has escaped who killed Harry’s parents among others....or did he??  Many people love this film above the others in this series and I can understand why because it introduces Lupin (David Thewlis) and Sirius (Gary Oldman) plus those eerie Dementors and that great Petronus charm.

Gary Oldman gave Daniel Radcliffe a bass guitar and helped teach him to play since Oldman plays the guitar

  1. Hi, Birgit!

Happy "H" day to you, dear friend! I am quite possibly the only person alive who is not a huge fan of Harry Potter. I recently sat through one of the sequels to please my grandchildren and it did not inspire me to see more. With Gary Oldman taking part, I'm sure H.P. and The Prisoner of Az is a fine installment of the series.

Have a wonderful week, dear friend BB!

  4. Bass guitar ain't as easy as it looks. Gary probably thought he was doing Daniel a favor.

I've seen all the HP movies, and to be honest I can go a while without seeing them again.

  5. I saw this one twice in the theater. It was so much better than 1 & 2. The movies do get better from here on out.

  6. Another great pick! I love the trivia you include in these. It's always fun and something I had no idea about.
Hope your day is filled with sunshine, sparkle (on snow?) and plenty of energy.

  7. This was a great sequel indeed. That was great of Oldman to do between takes.

  8. Oldman has had an interesting career.

  9. This is the movie that introduced me to Harry Potter. The one about the Half-Prince is my favorite book in the series. I was very disappointed in the movie though because it glossed over Alan Rickman's character so much.

  11. This is my fav book, but not my fav film of the HP movies :) I did drag my husband to see it in the cinema though, and it has a few holes. He has never read the books and he was very confused since they miss out so many details :)

  12. I have not seen one Harry Potter movie nor have I read any of the books. I should probably check out at least one of the movies. Not going to be any hurry though.

  16. I had planned to be here sooner, but my keyboard had other plans. I may be one of three people in the world who has never seen a Harry Potter film or read one of the books. This was probably a good choice, but of course, I can only watch from afar.

  17. Arlee and Bluebeard have never seen any of the films! Whaaat?? Hahahaaa. I had a hard time picking which one to use but I love Gary Oldman so I chose this film plus it seems the kids are not kids any more..it has become a bit darker. Thanks to everyone for your comments

  18. Birgit,

I have not seen any of the Harry Potter films. If they ever show up on Netflix or Amazon Prime then I may watch them.
