Letter B

THE BOURNE IDENTITY-2002

An amnesiac tries to find out who he is while kicking some serious ass across Europe.

This stars Matt Damon, Franka Potente, Chris Cooper, Brian Cox and an almost Silent Clive Owen in a great thriller mystery with many stunts that defy description and one amazing car chase through the Paris streets. Matt decided to do many stunts himself...crazy nut! This started many sequels...big surprise.

  1. Love this movie. Tried reading the books the movies were based on but just could not get into them. No Matt Damon? lol

  2. Hi, Birgit!

Happy "B" day to you, dear friend!

I saw this film shortly after its release and enjoyed it. With stunts and a car chase, what's not to like? :) I always admire actors who do their own stunt work. Just last night Mrs. Shady and I watched an old episode of ER in which Geo. Clooney and Anthony Edwards adroitly dodged two speeding vehicles.

Have a good day, dear friend BB!

  6. Birgit,

The Bourne Identity series are excellent flicks! Besides "The Ocean's" movies, this is perhaps my favorite Matt Damon films. Thanks for sharing and happy A2Zing!

  9. I think I saw one of the sequels, and likewise, I wasn't impressed. The franchise made a lot of money, though.

  11. I don't know why I never got into these movies. Maybe because I saw Bourne as invading Bond's cinematic turf. Ha.

  12. My favorite is the sequel in which he and Julia Stile's character got together.

  13. I can't remember how I got dragged to this one. I did like it, but not enough to see the sequels. I think. I think I saw the first sequel. (Such a memorable movie ;)

  14. I tried to watch this movie once. I think I got about 20 minutes into it and already I was finding it impossible to suspend disbelief. Plus, just not my kind of 'Action' movie to begin with.

Oh, well. I gave it a quick chance to pull me in and it didn't. Such is life sometimes.

  21. This was the only one in the franchise that I've seen. I saw it on an airplane, so the image was about the size of a postage stamp. It probably would have made a better impression on me if it'd been easier to view. I always enjoy Matt Damon in his roles.

  22. I've seen all the Bourne movies. I saw them on tv, during a binge watch one weekend. They are fabulous, and I loved how Matt Damon did his own stunts. Great B choice, Birgit.
